Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at PIIT offers Diploma programs in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile), Mechanical Engineering (Production), Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance) and Diploma programs in Mechanical Engineering (Lateral Entry). We have been focusing on high-quality teaching and laboratory experiences. The curriculum is interactive and provides students with hands-on learning opportunities. This will enable them to take their careers to the next level, whether they are in the engineering field or in advanced studies. The discipline of Mechanical Engineering is highly regarded for its ability to link engineering education and active research in various areas. There are eight laboratories within the department that are equipped with the most sophisticated infrastructure for performing high-end teaching, research, and developmental activities.

We strive to provide our students with the appropriate balance of intellectual and practical experiences that will allow them to serve our society and meet a myriad of needs. Having a solid understanding of the principles and practices of mechanical engineering, our undergraduates are prepared to engage in ethical engineering practices that are conscientious of society and the environment.
