Objectives
This activity had the following objectives:
To make the students aware about road safety.
To educate them about the dangers of driving recklessly on road.
To give them information about the rules of the road.
To inform them about the measures to be taken in case of road accident.
To make them aware about the reasons of road accidents.
A Road Safety Awareness programme was organized by Education Department, PIIT, Greater Noida by the instructions of DIET, Dankaur , Gautam Buddha Nagar. The students of D.El .Ed were informed a few days prior about the programme and were asked to come and participate in the programme. On the day of the programme the students gathered in the college premises . Dr Anjum Ara was the In Charge of the activity . The students were asked to perform a rally with slogans like ‘ Sabse Zaruri Sadak Suraksha’, and ‘Helmet Lagao Jaan Bachao’. They were guided by Dr Anjum Ara . Later the students were gathered in Conference Hall . Mr. Babloo delivered a speech where he introduced the students about the programme and the motive behind it. Director Sir also addressed the students and faculty members . He motivated the students about road safety . He informed the students about the major reasons of road accidents and the measures to prevent it. A Poster Making Competition was also organized where the students of D.El. Ed participated and displayed their artistic skills. These posters were judged on the basis of neatness , theme and presentation. The Judges were the faculty staffs , the Director Sir and Chairman ma’am. They appreciated every poster . While judging the posters they asked the students questions related to road safety and also educated them by giving some information. The final decision was very tough as all the posters were excellent . The winners were:

Priyanka on 3rd Position
Outcomes
The outcomes of this activity are:
The students got to know about the rules of road.
They were educated about road safety.
They got to know about reasons of road mishappenings.
They participated in the activity enthusiastically.
