Cancellation Policy of PIIT

Prince Institute of Innovative Technology (PIIT), Greater Noida follows a clear process for admission cancellation, seat withdrawal and cancellation-related requests. This Cancellation Policy explains the general guidelines that may apply when a student, parent or applicant wishes to cancel an admission, registration, event participation or any other institute-related enrollment.

Students and parents are advised to read this policy carefully before confirming admission, submitting documents or making any payment.


Scope of This Policy

This Cancellation Policy applies to cancellation or withdrawal requests related to:

  • Admission registration

  • Seat confirmation

  • Course/program admission

  • Event or workshop registration

  • Training program enrollment

  • Any other institute-related participation or service

The final decision in cancellation-related matters may depend on institute rules, admission status, date of request, documents submitted, fee payment status, university/board/council guidelines and applicable government norms.


Admission Cancellation

A student or applicant may request admission cancellation by submitting a written cancellation or withdrawal request to PIIT through the official process.

Admission cancellation may be considered only after proper verification of:

  • Student/applicant details

  • Program or course name

  • Admission or registration reference

  • Payment details, if applicable

  • Documents submitted to the institute

  • Reason for cancellation

  • Date of cancellation request

PIIT may ask for additional documents or clarification before processing the request.


Cancellation Request Process

To request cancellation, the student, parent or applicant should submit a formal written application to the concerned office or authorized department of PIIT.

The request may include:

  • Student/applicant name

  • Father’s/mother’s/guardian’s name

  • Program/course applied for

  • Admission or registration number, if available

  • Contact number and email ID

  • Payment receipt or transaction proof, if applicable

  • Reason for cancellation

  • Bank details, if refund is applicable

  • Signature of student/parent/guardian, where required

Incomplete or unsigned requests may take longer to process.


Seat Withdrawal

If a student has taken admission or confirmed a seat and later decides to withdraw, the request will be reviewed as per the applicable admission rules and institutional guidelines.

Seat withdrawal may be subject to:

  • Date of admission confirmation

  • Date of withdrawal request

  • Academic session status

  • Seat reporting or counselling status

  • University/board/council rules

  • Documents already processed

  • Services already provided

  • Applicable fee or refund rules

Withdrawal from a seat does not automatically guarantee a refund. Refund, if applicable, will be governed by PIIT’s Refund Policy and applicable norms.


Cancellation Before Admission Confirmation

If a cancellation request is made before final admission confirmation, PIIT may review the request based on the stage of admission processing.

If only an enquiry or preliminary registration was submitted, cancellation may be simpler. However, any registration, processing or administrative fee already paid may be non-refundable depending on institute norms.


Cancellation After Admission Confirmation

If admission has already been confirmed, cancellation may require a formal withdrawal process. The student may be required to submit an application along with original fee receipt, admission documents and other necessary records.

After admission confirmation, cancellation may be subject to deductions, document processing status, seat utilization, academic calendar and applicable rules.


Cancellation After Commencement of Classes

If cancellation or withdrawal is requested after commencement of classes, the request will be reviewed carefully as per institute rules, university/board/council guidelines and applicable academic regulations.

In such cases, certain fees or charges may not be refundable because academic, administrative or student support services may have already been provided.


Cancellation of Event, Workshop or Training Registration

For workshops, seminars, conferences, training programs, short-term courses or institutional events, cancellation conditions may vary according to the nature of the activity.

Cancellation may not be accepted or refund may not be applicable if:

  • Registration is already confirmed

  • The event or program has started

  • Seat/resource/material has already been reserved

  • Certificate, kit or study material has been issued

  • The participant remains absent without prior information

  • The event-specific terms do not allow cancellation

Specific cancellation rules, if any, may be shared at the time of event or program registration.


Institute-Initiated Cancellation

PIIT may cancel or modify an admission process, event, workshop, seminar, training session or activity due to administrative reasons, low participation, unavoidable circumstances, technical issues, regulatory directions or any other valid institutional reason.

In such cases, PIIT may offer one or more of the following options:

  • Rescheduling of the event or program

  • Adjustment of payment, where applicable

  • Refund as per applicable rules

  • Transfer to another batch/session, if approved

  • Alternative arrangement as decided by the institute


Documents and Records

If a student has submitted original or photocopied documents during admission, the return of documents may be processed according to institute rules after completion of required verification and clearance formalities.

Students should collect documents only through the official process and after fulfilling any pending academic, administrative or financial requirements.


Fee and Refund After Cancellation

Cancellation does not automatically mean that a refund will be provided. Any refund request after cancellation will be processed according to PIIT’s Refund Policy, applicable deductions and institutional guidelines.

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • Type of fee paid

  • Date of cancellation request

  • Admission status

  • Academic session status

  • Services already provided

  • Non-refundable charges

  • University/board/council rules

  • Institute approval

Non-Cancellable or Non-Refundable Components

Certain components may not be cancellable or refundable after confirmation, depending on the nature of payment and institute norms.

These may include:

  • Registration fee

  • Application processing fee

  • Admission processing charges

  • Administrative charges

  • Event or training confirmation charges

  • Uniform, kit or study material charges, if issued

  • Any fee component declared non-refundable

  • Charges for services already provided


Responsibility of Students and Parents

Students and parents are responsible for reading admission details, eligibility criteria, fee structure, refund conditions and cancellation rules before making any final decision.

They should ensure that all cancellation requests are submitted through official channels and within the applicable time period.

PIIT will not be responsible for delays caused by incomplete applications, incorrect contact details, missing documents or requests submitted to unauthorized persons.


Unauthorized Payments or Requests

PIIT advises students and parents to avoid making payments or submitting cancellation/refund requests through unauthorized individuals or unofficial channels.

Any payment, cancellation request or communication should be made only through official PIIT channels. The institute will not be responsible for issues arising from unofficial transactions or unauthorized commitments.


Review and Approval

Every cancellation request will be reviewed by the concerned department or competent authority of PIIT. Approval or rejection of the request will depend on facts, documents, admission stage and applicable rules.

PIIT reserves the right to seek additional information or reject cancellation requests that are incomplete, false, late, misleading or not in line with institutional rules.
