Grievance Redressal Policy of PIIT
Prince Institute of Innovative Technology (PIIT), Greater Noida is committed to maintaining a fair, respectful and supportive academic environment for students, parents, faculty, staff and other stakeholders.
This Grievance Redressal Policy explains how concerns, complaints or grievances may be raised, reviewed and addressed through proper institutional channels.
Purpose of the Policy
The purpose of this policy is to provide a structured process for reporting and resolving genuine grievances related to academic, administrative, student support or campus-related matters.
PIIT aims to ensure that concerns are heard with fairness, confidentiality and responsibility.

Students, parents or stakeholders may raise grievances related to:

Examination or internal assessment concerns
Fee or payment-related clarification

Anti-ragging or student safety concerns

Grievances should be raised honestly and with proper supporting details.
Who Can Submit a Grievance?
A grievance may be submitted by:
Current students
Parents or guardians
Applicants
Alumni, where applicable
Faculty members
Staff members
Other stakeholders connected with PIIT
The person submitting the grievance should provide correct contact details so that the institute can communicate if clarification is required.
Principles of Grievance Redressal
PIIT follows these basic principles while handling grievances:

How to Submit a Grievance
A grievance may be submitted through official communication channels of PIIT. The applicant should clearly mention the issue, relevant details and supporting documents, if any.
A grievance submission may include:
Name of the student/applicant/stakeholder
Program/course name, if applicable
Roll number/admission number, if available
Contact number and email ID
Nature of grievance
Date and place of incident, if applicable
Brief description of the issue
Supporting documents or proof, if available
Expected resolution or clarification
Incomplete or unclear grievances may take longer to process.
Grievance Review Process
After receiving a grievance, the concerned department or authorized authority may review the matter.
The process may include:
Acknowledgement of the grievance
Verification of submitted details
Review by concerned department or committee
Interaction with the concerned person, if required
Collection of relevant records or documents
Decision or recommendation by the competent authority
Communication of response or resolution
The time required for resolution may depend on the nature and complexity of the grievance.
Academic Grievances
Academic grievances may include concerns related to classes, attendance, internal assessment, academic support, timetable, teaching-learning process, practical work or student guidance.
Such grievances may be reviewed by the concerned faculty, department, academic coordinator, principal, director or designated academic authority.
Administrative Grievances
Administrative grievances may include concerns related to documents, certificates, records, fee receipts, office communication, admission formalities, student services or institutional processes.
These matters may be reviewed by the concerned administrative office or authorized official.
Fee and Payment-Related Grievances
Fee or payment-related grievances may include issues related to receipts, payment confirmation, duplicate payment, fee clarification, refund request or cancellation process.
Such matters may be handled according to PIIT’s Fee Payment Policy, Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.
Student Safety and Discipline Concerns
Concerns related to student safety, ragging, misconduct, harassment, indiscipline or unsafe behaviour will be treated seriously.
Such matters may be referred to the concerned committee, anti-ragging mechanism, disciplinary authority or competent institutional body.
Students are encouraged to report safety-related concerns without delay.
Confidentiality
PIIT aims to handle grievances with sensitivity and confidentiality wherever required. Personal information and grievance details may be shared only with concerned officials or committees for review and resolution.
However, complete confidentiality may not be possible in cases where investigation, legal compliance or regulatory reporting is required.
False or Misleading Complaints
Students and stakeholders are expected to submit genuine grievances. False, misleading, abusive or intentionally harmful complaints may be treated as misconduct and may lead to appropriate action as per institute rules.
Non-Retaliation
PIIT discourages any form of unfair treatment against a person who raises a genuine grievance in good faith.
Students should feel safe to report valid concerns through proper channels.
Timeline for Resolution
PIIT will make reasonable efforts to review and resolve grievances within a suitable time frame. The timeline may vary depending on the issue, documents required, department involved and level of investigation needed.
Urgent safety-related concerns may be given priority.
Escalation of Grievance
If a grievance is not resolved at the initial level, it may be escalated to a higher authority or concerned committee within the institution.
Students and stakeholders should follow the proper escalation process rather than approaching unauthorized persons or using unofficial channels.
Grievance Not Covered Under This Policy
Some matters may not be handled under this policy if they are:
Already under legal or regulatory review
Related to external authority decisions
Based on incomplete or false information
Outside the control of PIIT
Submitted anonymously without sufficient details
Repeated without new facts after closure
PIIT may guide the concerned person to the appropriate channel where possible.
Records and Documentation
PIIT may maintain records of grievances, responses, supporting documents and resolution details for administrative and institutional purposes.
Such records may be used to improve services, strengthen processes and prevent similar issues in future.
