Refund Policy of PIIT

Prince Institute of Innovative Technology (PIIT), Greater Noida follows a structured and transparent approach regarding fee payment and refund-related requests. This Refund Policy explains the general guidelines related to refund requests, admission fees, course fees, registration charges and other applicable institutional payments.

Students, parents and applicants are advised to carefully read this policy before making any payment to PIIT.


Scope of This Policy

This Refund Policy applies to payments made for admission, registration, course fee, institutional charges, event registration, training programs or any other applicable payment made to PIIT through authorized payment channels.

The policy is intended to provide general clarity. Final refund decisions may depend on the nature of payment, admission status, date of request, institute rules, affiliating university/board/council guidelines and applicable government norms.


Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation

Payment of registration fee, admission fee or course fee may be required for admission processing, seat confirmation or participation in academic/institutional activities.

Submission of payment does not automatically remove the need for eligibility verification, document checking, counselling compliance or completion of institute admission formalities.

Admission may be confirmed only after:

  • Eligibility verification

  • Submission of required documents

  • Completion of admission process

  • Payment of applicable fee

  • Approval as per institute, university, board, council or government norms


Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility may vary depending on the type of payment and the stage of admission or service.

A refund request may be considered in cases such as:

  • Duplicate payment made by mistake

  • Excess payment received

  • Payment made but admission not processed due to valid administrative reasons

  • Withdrawal request submitted within the applicable time limit

  • Any other genuine case approved by the competent authority of PIIT

Refunds are not automatic. Each request will be reviewed according to institute rules and applicable guidelines.


Non-Refundable Charges

Certain charges may be non-refundable depending on the nature of payment and institute norms.

These may include:

  • Registration fee

  • Application processing fee

  • Admission processing charges

  • Counselling or administrative charges

  • Charges for services already provided

  • Training, workshop or event participation fee after confirmation

  • Uniform, study material or kit charges, if already issued

  • Any fee component declared non-refundable at the time of payment

Students and parents should confirm fee details and refund conditions before making payment.


Admission Withdrawal and Refund

If a student wishes to withdraw admission, a written request must be submitted to PIIT through the official process. The refund, if applicable, will be reviewed based on:

  • Date of admission confirmation

  • Date of withdrawal request

  • Classes/session commencement status

  • Documents submitted

  • Services already provided

  • University/board/council admission rules

  • Institute refund norms

  • Applicable deductions, if any

PIIT may request supporting documents before processing the withdrawal or refund request.


Refund Request Process

To request a refund, the student/applicant/parent may be required to submit a formal application with relevant details.

The refund request should include:

  • Student/applicant name

  • Program/course name

  • Admission/enquiry/registration reference, if available

  • Payment receipt or transaction proof

  • Date and amount of payment

  • Reason for refund request

  • Bank account details, where required

  • Contact number and email ID

  • Supporting documents, if applicable

Incomplete requests may take longer to process.


Duplicate or Excess Payment

If a duplicate payment or excess payment is made due to technical error, bank issue or user mistake, the payer should inform PIIT with payment proof.

After verification, the excess or duplicate amount may be refunded or adjusted against applicable fees, depending on the situation and institute approval.


Refund Processing Time

Once a refund request is received with complete details and supporting documents, PIIT will review the request through the concerned department.

Refund processing time may vary depending on:

  • Verification of payment

  • Approval from the concerned authority

  • Bank/payment gateway processing time

  • Completeness of documents

  • Applicable academic or administrative conditions

Generally, approved refunds may take a reasonable processing period after verification and approval.


Mode of Refund

Approved refunds may be processed through an appropriate banking or payment mode.

Refund may be made to:

  • Original payment source

  • Student/parent bank account

  • Authorized account provided in the refund request

  • Any other mode approved by the institute

PIIT may ask for bank details, cancelled cheque or identity verification before processing the refund.


Online Payments and Payment Gateway Charges

If payment is made through an online gateway, banking channel or third-party payment service provider, gateway charges, transaction charges or bank charges may be deducted as applicable.

PIIT is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways or external payment service providers.


Fee Adjustment

In certain cases, instead of a refund, PIIT may adjust the amount against:

  • Remaining course fee

  • Other applicable institutional charges

  • Future payable amount

  • Corrected fee category

  • Program transfer or admission update, if approved

Fee adjustment will be subject to institute approval and applicable rules.


Rejection of Refund Request

A refund request may be rejected if:

  • The request is submitted after the allowed period

  • The payment is non-refundable as per institute norms

  • The student has already availed services or attended the program/session

  • Documents or payment proof are incomplete

  • False or misleading information is submitted

  • The case does not meet refund eligibility conditions

  • Applicable university/board/council rules do not permit refund

PIIT reserves the right to review each refund request on its facts and applicable rules.


Refund for Events, Workshops or Training Programs

For events, workshops, seminars, training sessions or short-term programs, refund rules may vary depending on the nature of the activity.

Refund may not be applicable if:

  • Registration is confirmed

  • Seat/material/resource is already reserved

  • Program has started

  • Certificate, study material or kit has been issued

  • The participant remains absent without prior notice

Specific event or training refund conditions, if any, may be shared separately at the time of registration.


Scholarship, Concession and Discount Cases

If a student receives a scholarship, concession or fee discount, refund calculation may be made after considering the approved fee structure, concession amount and actual payment received.

Any change in scholarship eligibility or concession status may affect payable or refundable amount.


Responsibility of Students and Parents

Students and parents are responsible for:

  • Reading fee details carefully before payment

  • Confirming program eligibility and admission conditions

  • Keeping payment receipts safely

  • Providing correct bank and contact details

  • Submitting refund requests within the applicable time

  • Avoiding payment through unauthorized persons or unofficial links

PIIT will not be responsible for payments made to unauthorized individuals or unofficial channels.


Official Payment Channels

Students and parents should make payments only through official and authorized channels shared by PIIT.

They should avoid making cash or digital payments to any unauthorized person claiming to represent the institute.

In case of doubt, payment details should be verified directly from PIIT before making any payment.
