Institute of Management Studies, PIIT

Equal Opportunity Policy of PIIT

Prince Institute of Innovative Technology (PIIT), Greater Noida is committed to providing a respectful, fair and supportive academic environment for students from different backgrounds.

This Equal Opportunity Policy explains PIIT’s commitment toward inclusive education, non-discrimination, dignity, fair access and student support.

Purpose of the Policy

The purpose of this policy is to promote equal opportunity in learning, participation, student support and institutional access.

PIIT believes that education should help students grow with confidence, discipline, knowledge and values, without unfair treatment or discrimination.

Our Commitment

PIIT aims to maintain an environment where students, faculty, staff and visitors are treated with dignity and respect.

The institute supports fair access to academic opportunities, campus activities, student services and institutional guidance, subject to eligibility, rules and applicable requirements.

Non-Discrimination

PIIT discourages discrimination or unfair treatment based on background, gender, caste, religion, language, region, economic condition, disability or any other personal identity.

Every student is expected to be treated fairly within the academic and institutional framework.

Equal Access to Learning

PIIT works to provide students access to classroom learning, practical sessions, academic guidance, library support, workshops, seminars, events, activities and career-related opportunities according to program requirements and institute rules.

Equal opportunity does not mean exemption from academic eligibility, attendance, examination, discipline, fee payment or institutional requirements. It means that eligible students should get fair and respectful access to available opportunities.

Student Support

PIIT aims to support students through academic guidance, counselling support, administrative assistance and communication through proper channels.

Students facing genuine difficulty may approach concerned faculty members, department heads, administrative staff or authorized officials for guidance.

Inclusive Campus Environment

An inclusive campus environment helps students feel respected, safe and confident. PIIT encourages students to interact positively, respect differences and avoid behaviour that may hurt the dignity of others.

Students are expected to maintain discipline, mutual respect and responsible conduct in classrooms, laboratories, campus areas, events, activities and online groups connected with institutional communication.

Equal Participation in Events and Activities

PIIT encourages students to participate in academic events, cultural activities, technical programs, sports, workshops, seminars, social initiatives and career-focused sessions.

Participation may depend on eligibility, availability, department rules, event guidelines and academic schedule, but students should not be unfairly restricted from opportunities.

Support for Economically and Socially Disadvantaged Students

PIIT recognizes that some students may come from economically or socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The institute may provide guidance related to scholarships, fee concessions, government schemes or institutional support, wherever applicable and subject to rules.

Students must submit valid documents and complete required formalities to avail any such support.

Support for Students with Special Needs

PIIT aims to support students with genuine special needs or difficulties as far as reasonably possible within available institutional resources and applicable academic rules.

Students or parents may contact the institute if they require guidance regarding accessibility, academic support, documentation or campus assistance.

Respectful Communication

All students, faculty, staff and stakeholders are expected to communicate respectfully. Abusive language, harassment, humiliation, intimidation or discriminatory remarks are not acceptable.

Healthy communication is important for maintaining a positive academic environment.

Role of Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff members play an important role in promoting equal opportunity. They are expected to guide students fairly, encourage participation, maintain academic discipline and support a respectful learning environment.

Administrative support should also be provided through proper processes and authorized channels.

Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

  • Respect classmates, faculty, staff and visitors

  • Avoid discriminatory or insulting behaviour

PIIT will make reasonable efforts to handle equal opportunity-related concerns with sensitivity and confidentiality wherever required.
